Tillett Racing Seats were the first company in the world to develop an enclosed guard for kart racing. Enclosing the rear sprocket with a compliant chainguard is now a legal requirement in kart racing regulations. The guard not only deflects a thrown chain but also prevents body parts encountering the spinning sprocket.

The tough indestructible Nylon chainguard is supplied in two configurations. The Tillett Nylon chainguard is available in black and two sizes. The Rotax Max version is the longer guard shape and suits most engines without an effective clutch cover. The second option is a version for 60 cc Mini kart, X30 and OK engines with the front is cut away for when there is a suitable clutch cover.
