Links Pick a length
Changing sprockets or setting up a new kart? Work out the chain length here, then pick it straight from the cards above.
Kart chains come in even link counts, so the exact length usually falls between two sizes. We show both and how far the engine needs to slide to take up the difference. Leave a little free play in the chain – never run it tight.

Spare joining links for the toolbox, and rolls for teams, circuits and rental fleets.
A new chain on worn sprockets won't last. Change them together and keep it lubed.
O-ring chains have rubber seals that hold grease inside each roller, so they stretch and wear more slowly and need less attention over a long meeting. The trade-off is a little more weight and friction.
Standard chains are lighter and more free-running – the usual choice for sprint racing, as long as you clean and lube them regularly.
Blue Box is CZ's standard 219 race chain – strong, reliable and the best value, used from club level upwards.
RS Black Box is CZ's premium chain, with higher strength and durability. It has won multiple European and World titles and is run by several factory teams.
Count the rollers on your old chain, including the joining link. If you're changing sprocket sizes, use the link calculator – roughly, every 2 teeth added to the rear sprocket needs 1 more link, and kart chains come in even numbers.
When it has stretched. A worn chain wears your sprockets quickly and is more likely to jump off or snap. Check it with a chain wear tool, and change hooked or worn sprockets at the same time as the chain.
Yes. As the UK importer we supply dealers, race teams and circuits. Open a trade account for trade pricing, or see the multipacks above.
428 pitch is a heavier-duty chain for larger-engined and 4-stroke karts, rental fleets and endurance. 520 pitch is used on some rental and corporate karts. Both are sold as set lengths or rolls with joining links.
Every CZ chain, roll and link we stock, with filters.
