Since the drop-down nose cone was introduced, the nose cone clamps have come under more pressure as people look to over tighten it to reduce the chance of the nose dropping. However, over tightening causes them to bend and break. All of the clamps are much of the same. It's important to maintain them well rather than making it too tight.
