🌱 Mission Statement

To lead the karting industry in responsible business by reducing our environmental footprint, promoting sustainable motorsport practices, and driving efficiency across our operations and supply chain — without compromising performance or service.

1. Operations & Warehouse

🔹 Short Term (0–12 months)

  • Switch to LED lighting throughout the warehouse and trackside facilities.

  • Implement recycling stations in all workspaces for plastic, cardboard, and metal.

  • Minimise packaging waste by working with suppliers to consolidate shipments and reduce box-in-box shipping.

  • Move to paperless invoicing and internal processes via OrderWise and shared drives.

🔹 Medium Term (12–24 months)

  • Prioritise courier partners offering carbon offsetting or electric vehicle fleets.

  • Introduce reuse schemes for packaging materials with local teams and customers.

  • Begin tracking monthly warehouse waste and energy use with year-on-year targets.

2. Products & Supply Chain

🔹 Short Term

  • Highlight sustainable product options online (e.g. long-life parts, recyclable packaging).

  • Log country of origin and material details for products; prioritise UK or EU-made goods.

🔹 Medium Term

  • Work with manufacturers (e.g. Freeline, CZ, Heidenau) to explore eco-friendly materials.

  • Offer a recycling/returns scheme for worn tyres, chains, and spares.

  • Trial a sustainability rating system for products, based on durability and recyclability.

3. Travel, Events & Electrification

🔹 Short Term

  • Encourage shared transport to events for team and staff.

  • Reduce business travel by increasing virtual training and remote support options.

🔹 Medium Term

  • Partner with race series to promote paddock recycling and pit lane waste reduction.

  • Trial a mobile electric vehicle parts centre for selected events.

Electric Karting Commitment

We are actively working with electric karting series and industry partners to:

  • Support the rollout of electric kart fleets across corporate and rental circuits.

  • Supply components and infrastructure tailored for electric kart maintenance.

  • Promote entry-level access to electric karting for young drivers and new enthusiasts.
Our aim is to make electric karting more accessible and appealing — helping the sport evolve without losing its spirit.

4. Customer Engagement

🔹 Short Term

  • Add a Sustainability page to the website to share commitments and progress.

  • Offer bulk shipping incentives to reduce carbon impact per order.

🔹 Medium Term

  • Launch a “KKC Eco Range” highlighting greener product choices.

  • Provide blog content and product guides to help customers reduce their environmental impact.

5. Internal Culture & Reporting

🔹 Short Term

  • Nominate a Sustainability Champion within the business.

  • Hold internal workshops for staff input and engagement on sustainability actions.

🔹 Medium Term

  • Share an annual sustainability update with metrics on:

    • Energy usage

    • Waste reduction

    • Packaging improvements

    • Supplier sustainability

🏁 Long-Term Goal (3–5 Years)

Become the most sustainable karting supplier in the UK — embedding environmental responsibility into every area of the business while supporting the sport’s shift toward electric and efficient technologies.
