Whether you're picking up racewear, getting technical advice, or just dropping by for a chat about the latest in karting, Gary is here to help.
Meet Gary
What’s your role at KKC, and how long have you been part of the team?
I’m the Shop Manager, also known as the Retail Extraordinaire. I’ve been with KKC for just over 12 months.
Have you ever raced yourself, or do you have a personal connection to motorsport?
Erm… does the 400m sprint count? 😅 I’m an avid rallying fan.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Definitely interacting with a wide range of people from all walks of life. Helping them find what they need and making their day a little easier is what I enjoy most.
If you could give one piece of advice to a new karter, what would it be?
Stay on the black stuff and avoid the barriers! But in all seriousness, karting is a learning curve, so be patient, take advice on board, and have fun.
Is there a product or technology in karting that you think every racer should know about?
Absolutely – Alfano! Having good data logging is essential for improving performance.
When you’re not at KKC, what hobbies or interests keep you busy?
I’m into gaming, mainly Call of Duty and first-person shooters. I also enjoy coding and tinkering with technology, and I’m a bit of a petrolhead – particularly an Audi fanboy!
